Our Commitment
Raisity is committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). This statement explains how we protect children's privacy.
Primary Audience
Raisity is an educational advisory platform for parents. Our app helps parents:
- Understand AI technology and its impact on families
- Make informed decisions about AI tools for their children
- Guide their children's AI literacy development
- Stay informed about AI safety and best practices
Raisity is not:
- A game or entertainment app for children
- A social network or messaging platform
- An app designed for direct child use without parental supervision
Information We Collect
From Parents (Account Holders)
- Email address for account creation
- Display name (chosen by parent)
- Subscription and payment information (processed by Apple)
Child Profiles (Created by Parents)
Parents may create profiles for their children containing:
- Nickname only – A name chosen by the parent (e.g., "Buddy," "Champ")
- Age range only – General category (e.g., "4-10 years"), not exact age
- Learning progress – Completed activities and badges earned
We Do NOT Collect From Children:
- Real names
- Birthdates or exact ages
- Photos or images
- Location data
- Contact information
- Voice recordings or biometric data
Parental Consent
Since Raisity is designed for parents (not children):
- Account Creation: Only adults 18+ may create accounts
- Child Profiles: Parents voluntarily create child profiles using nicknames
- Consent Implied: By creating a child profile, parents consent to the limited, non-identifying information being stored
Parental Gate Protection
To ensure adult supervision, we implement a "Parental Gate" for sensitive actions:
- Opening external links (websites, app stores)
- Sharing content outside the app
- Accessing subscription/payment features
- Sending emails (support, feedback)
The Parental Gate requires solving a math problem that young children typically cannot solve.
Third-Party Services
We use COPPA-compliant third-party services:
- Supabase: Database hosting (no child PII stored)
- Mixpanel: Anonymized, aggregated analytics only
- RevenueCat: Parent accounts only
- Apple App Store: Parent accounts only
We do not share any child profile information with third parties for marketing.
Parental Rights
Parents have full control over their child profiles:
- Review: View all information at any time
- Edit: Change nicknames, age ranges, or other information
- Delete: Remove individual profiles or the entire account
- Refuse: Choose not to create child profiles
Data Security
- AES-256 encryption for data at rest
- TLS 1.3 encryption for data in transit
- Row-level security for data access
- U.S.-based data centers
